Dante Galic, 29 years old. (HR)
Dante was born in Odense, but his origins are from Bosnia and Croatia.
He lives and works around the world on a daily basis.
Some works were created in Nepal, others in Bosnia, several in Croatia, and some in Berlin and Odense.
A true nomad.
Despite his young age, Dante has already achieved great success in the art world.
From the age of 18, his art became part of some of the largest Danish art collections.
His style is inspired by Goya with a combination of surrealism and a great fascination with comic books.
Dante masters both oil painting, watercolor, and several other oil techniques.
His works using the palette technique featuring the character “Harald” – who is, by the way, a real person from Dante’s time in Berlin – are particularly popular.
As is his entire universe, strongly inspired by “Alice in Wonderland,” The Divine Comedy, Disney, socially critical viewpoints, global pollution, and many more topics.
Dante is probably one of the first in the world to "go green" on all his materials.
The pigments are mixed by hand, the canvases are made of organic linen or hemp, the watercolor paper is recycled, and the wood for stretching is from Europe.
Gallery Nijenkamp has represented Dante Galic since early 2020, and he had his first solo exhibition in September 2020. Since then, Dante has taken the Danish market by storm and has gained a prominent place in Gallery Nijenkamp, where his works are extremely popular.
